I'm running 5 bots right now with my HD4000 chipset with no black screens. It was running perfectly with 4 bots but with 5 it's getting a little bit laggy (90%+ GPU load). Are you sure black screens are a GPU problem ?

BTW, those who run 6+ bots, could you tell me your GPU load, i'd l ike to buy one before adding more bots, but I'd rather buy something not too powerfull ?

na, I don't use vm anymore with other bot, but with exilebot I have to use vm, at the moment anyways, rumor is a framework is being worked on that lets you run apps inside a framework that has simple emulated mouse/keyboard instances but shares the host pid/proc, etc. I'm using a beta version and works, but crashes a lot so had to write a quick script to re-run, dunno =).

So this what i used so far without having that issue:

FX 8350 - from 4Gh to 4.8Gh - with and without energy savings options.

started with 8 - currently 16Gb Ram

SSD 240gb - 500mb/s

GPU i own:

Sapphire Toxic 5850 2Gb

Gigabite 7870 OC - triple fan ones

2 X MSI R9 280X OC - single and dual - with and without crossfire bridge - no problems

Windows 7 64x ultimate - all up to date drivers

-----------------

vmware 7.1

1 CPU - 2 Cores

Ram: from 512 to 1024mb

Windows 7 64x Ultimate

So i had 2 clan mates using nvidia drivers.

one said fuck it and bought him an radeon r7 graphics

other one said im going to buy me a PSU since the graphic card is getting underpowered, he was running i think a 600W PSU now he has a 750W

both deals work.

both of them don't have any more black screens but on a side note, the one that bought the 750W PSU if he starts loading other things on his computer it will black screen bc of the power having to being strained alitle bit.

right now I'm closing this topic as resolved for the final answer of nvidia is power hoggers and radeon is more stable
