Yes the readme is more updated than most of the forum.. props to the creators haha. I will try to make something in time that will help newbies, but currently I'm struggling to get good performance out of my VMs.

From what I'm hearing it doesn't improve performance enough to be worth even using, my problem doesn't appear to be capability but instead compatability. I have parts on order for a true decent(3950s ) hypervisor, I'm also going to try installing on a very basic (G3930 or something) intel based system with a cheap vid card and see how that performs. Oh lol doh, well let me know what you find! I'm very tech savvy, I just need to know installation method essentially, I use all the vmware products at work, but I'm a network engineer by trade.

Oh I gotcha ok, my bot and VMs were already running, the game is just performing poorly, surprisingly the bot seems to do pretty well still. Wow even with "poeNullEffects" you still get down to 0 fps? That just doesn't make sense with your hardware.. but I'm having the same issue, so idk. I'm going to try and install a hypervisor on a crappy PC tomorrow and see if it's any better than this.

Wait, installing this on the host machine or the VM fixed your issue? I thought I did this but maybe I didn't, let me try. Edit: I've installed both on the host and VM, no difference from what I can tell. I've also tried turning down the graphics as low as they will go and no improvement, it actually looks to have made it worse lol.

In the video you linked earlier he isn't running that on a single machine, he is using another machine as a hypervisor, which I know how to do, and have parts on order for.. lol. How is everyone else botting lol? Are yall just dealing with the very low fps? I understand it kinda doesn't matter when you're botting.

There's enough information to get you running on this forum, you should spend as much or more time looking than you expect others to give you. I'm bumbling through it myself, at the end I'll likely try and make some type of guide-ish thing, until then I've posted some pictures that may help you, you can find them in a thread on the same forum you posted on.

What piece of software do I install to do that? I have the following iso downloads from their site: VMware vCenter Server Appliance VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi ISO) image (Includes VMware Tools) VMware vCenter Server and modules for Windows I'm guessing the last or first one? As the hypervisor is for a bare metal server.. Your English isn't bad, don't worry about it.

Can you explain? I don't understand your meaning. I'm using vmware workstation pro, but the performance is bad in windowed mode.

Can you run vsphere and the VMs on a single computer? I've always used vsphere by using a server/computer as a hypervisor and managing it from another computer with vcenter.. I've used the programs at work I just didn't think they could be installed and utilized on a single Windows 10 computer.

What products is this available in? I think it's available on vsphere, but I don't have another PC right now to run as a hypervisor, although I have parts on the way, 3950x and a 3900x build for other home servers as well. I've been meaning to virtualize all my stuff for years, but haven't had the time or real determination until my time suddenly freed up. (hope y'all are staying safe) If someone could share how they're managing their setups I'd be very appreciative. Even with the game struggling to run at 30fps the bot actually did alright last night so I'm impressed. Although somehow it swapped to my secondary weapons slot(x keybind..) and appeared to be killing mobs with flame dash for awhile Is it mandatory for VMware botting? I'm struggling to get 30fps, in town(The Forest Encampment) it's anywhere from 8-40fps and only slightly better when I step outside. I noticed when I run in full screen mode the game preforms MUCH better, steady 60fps even with the game at 1920x1080... not sure why that would be which is what makes me think this is just some configuration I need to set. Build wise Do you have a suggestion? I was thinking Righteous Fire, but I'm not sure how well that would work with the bot? I've attached a picture of my setup. You'll notice the fps I'm getting are jumping all over the place, part of me thinks it could be related to SLI... but breaking the SLI is likely to cause me more problems at this point. NOTE: My graphics settings are all at default still, I don't want to turn them down, I've tried and it made no difference, I actually saw a slight drop in frames somehow.

Do you use PoE smoother? Is it mandatory to run it on VMs? I don't think progression works, or at least that's what I read but I haven't tried it. I think most people do the questing themselves and let the bot farm zones when they need levels, until you get to act 8 or 9 and can do HB/BA. For builds anything non channeling apparently, aka no cyclone. I'm going to try a freezing pulse hierophant totem build, and maybe something else, I'd like to mess around with rangers and or a melee as well, I'm looking for builds I can easily convert into late game map farmers but I'm very new to this.

I'm curious, does trading jewellers into fuse etc at vendors cause you to get banned? I'm guessing they can easily track it? "Trade up all your lesser orbs to greater orbs via NPC." is the first method lol

Interesting I thought vsphere was an enterprise only solution, aka there isn't an available installer or iso etc to make it home use viable, but let me look into it.

How can I get GPU passthrough? I can break my SLI and run one just for the VM I assume if this is possible.

So open notepad, paint, use your vpn window, anything that can have an active window, and then select it from the list. It's unfortunate the list isn't sorted by PID.. but you can find the PID of the process by going into task manager, processes, and then enabling the column "PID".

To update this pinned topic.. You need to hide it in a running program, one that you can have on the bar on the bottom of your screen. So open notepad, paint, use your vpn window, anything that can have an active window, and then select it from the list. I'm having these same issues, I noticed I can run the game in fullscreen 1080p with normal settings and get 60 fps outside of towns, with occasional drops to 30 and hitches, but the bot still functions. I've upgraded to workstation pro, you can a license on Ebay for $5, it may have made a difference.. but I dont remember if I tried in full screen or not. I'm going to mess around with it more tomorrow, I'm hoping I can make some progress. Currently I have the vm set to 3GB of vram, 2 core 4 threads, 8GB of ram, so it should be good.. my system is a 9900k, sli 1070Ti, and 32gb of ram. The VMs are installed on an NVME Samsung 970 Evo.. can't get much better specs so I must have a misconfiguration or vm performance just sucks. This is my first time ever using the bot tonight, it did work for the 15min I let it run, I'm hopeful.

What builds have you guys been finding successful lately? I read that channeled spells don't work well, which seems odd, as I was thinking a solid lifesteal melee build should be good. I'm also having poor performance trying to run PoE in VMware, I've given it plenty of hardward(3gb ram, 4 cores on a 9900k with sli 1070Ti) so I'm not sure what the issue is. I've read half a dozen stickied posts but haven't gotten far with VMware, I'm in IT so I think it's dialed in, I've never had to maximize 3d performance though.. Stay safe exiles. Rick
